Dwyer Plumbing, Heating & Air has been in the home comfort business since 1922. We have served the Northern Virginia community with transparency and trustworthiness for nearly a century. Dwyer knows how important our job is, because nothing is more valuable than feeling safe and comfortable in your home.
Our locally-owned, family-operated business prioritizes clear communication. We know repairs can get complicated and expensive fast. Our Dwyer technicians strive to meet each transaction with patience, respect, and clarity. We want you feeling confident in the work we’ve done and the services provided in your home.
In light of the turbulent landscape we have faced over the last two years, we feel it is our responsibility to inform you of the price increases throughout our industry. Due to the looming uncertainty of COVID-19, and the effects it’s already had on supply chains and manufacturing, industry prices are rising.
To paint a clearer picture of this impact, all of our the manufacturers of HVAC systems has raised their manufacturing prices nearly six times more in 2021 than in the previous two years combined. And they’re telling us there are at least two more increases anticipated for 2022, the first of which is 12% in January. Water heaters have gone up 50-60%, depending on the model; PVC pipe has increased 219%; Copper pipe has gone up 135%. When things like sump pumps have only increased by 12%, we are thrilled. And unfortunately, once prices go up, they don’t often come down in this field. Scarcity of units and materials, and an increase in demand for HVAC units, water heaters, and plumbing supplies, has made this a tight market to operate in.
This information isn’t meant to scare you–this is to encourage any homeowners who know they’ve been kicking the can down the road on any major repairs, that this holiday season might actually be a decent time to get some of them done. What you save having the work done this year will hopefully allow you more stability down the road.
Dwyer wants to provide the best options for our customers. Dwyer’s technicians are ready to replace your furnace, hot water heater, kitchen faucet, or work with you on installing a new sewer line with our trenchless technology. We know these are often big financial commitments and price increases aren’t easy to swallow, but we’re here to work with you and are committed to keeping you comfortable in your home—don’t forget, we offer financing options.
We thank you for your understanding, and look forward to meeting your home comfort needs with quality backed by a century-long legacy of service.
