Chances are, you only think about your HVAC system when something goes wrong. We get it. Its job is to keep you comfortable, while staying out of the way.
But what if you showed your system some love? When you invest in preventative care for your HVAC equipment, you’re proving that you care for the longevity and health of your home comfort system.
Swap the box of chocolates for a seasonal tune-up. Think of replacing your air filter as a fresh bouquet of roses. Show that you’re committed to your relationship by signing on to a membership contract.
Because when you think of it, your HVAC system really is a significant other in your home comfort. It keeps you warm at night, cools you off in the heat of the moment, and is a constant presence in your day to day life.
5 Ways to Show Your System Some LOVE
1.) Seasonal Tune-Ups for your HVAC system
Seasonal tune-ups are absolutely necessary for the health and wellbeing of your heating and cooling systems. Your air conditioning units should be checked every spring, and your heaters should be checked every fall. Think of it as a physical for your system.
Dwyer technicians will be able to tell you if everything looks in shape for the season ahead, or if your system needs repair or replacement. That’s information you want before the blistering heat or frozen temperatures, not during.
2.) Preventative Maintenance Agreement
Prove your commitment by putting it in writing! When you sign on for your Preventative Maintenance Agreement, you’re prioritizing care for your system. Your agreement includes two seasonal tune-ups (heating in the fall, cooling in the spring), as well as 10% off any other Dwyer HVAC or Plumbing service. As a member, you’ll receive scheduling reminders for your seasonal services, as well as priority scheduling when setting up your appointments.
3.) Replace Your HVAC’s Air Filters
Nothing says love like a clean air filter. A dirty, clogged air filter can quickly damage your HVAC equipment. Filters should be changed every 30-90 days. The more people and pets you have in the house will require more frequent replacement. Make it part of a monthly routine, or call Dwyer to change it out for you!
4.) Clean Your Vents
HVAC is all about airflow. If your vents are dusty, dirty and clogged, your system won’t be running efficiently. Vacuum out all of that junk. If you still notice weak airflow, give Dwyer a call, we’ll come take a look.
5.) How’s Your Ductwork?
Just like your vents, your ductwork can accumulate debris over the years, that will in turn block airflow. You want to have your ductwork checked every several years to ensure your system isn’t fighting against blocked up ductwork. Your Dwyer technician can check on your ductwork during your seasonal tune-up. We’re here to check all your boxes, keeping you comfortable and your system running efficiently!
