The Dwyer family has been in the plumbing, heating, and air conditioning business since 1922. Since the start-up of the first family-owned firm that year, the Dwyer workforce has professionally served tens of thousands of residential and commercial customers in Northern Virginia, establishing a tradition of workforce excellence and earning customer trust in the process.
In 2002, Richard Dwyer established a new* plumbing and air conditioning and heating company in his father and grandfather's tradition of providing outstanding craftsmanship and excellent customer service. Richard and his successful, business-minded sister, Kathryn Dwyer, formed DWYER PLUMBING Corp. and qualified it to obtain its Virginia Class A Contractor’s License. Business operations were commenced on January 2, 2003. Dan Cochran and June McDaniel manage the firm’s plumbing service, renovation and excavation operations; and Bob McDaniel (who had also worked with Richard’s father, Dick Jr., and grandfather, Dick Sr.) manages the firm’s heating/air conditioning service and installation operations.
In late 2005, DWYER PLUMBING Corp. received a “top rating” checkmark for quality plumbing from a well-respected metropolitan consumer publication. DWYER PLUMBING Corp. is independent of all other companies and their trade names*; and is a member of the Metropolitan Washington, D.C., Better Business Bureau.
* In May 2000, the stock in R.J. Dwyer Service Corp., the Dwyer family's previous plumbing, heating, and air conditioning business, was sold to Primary Service Group, L.L.C. (Primary) which did business as Primary Multicraft.
